2019 NFL Free Agency Predictions

It’s a very tough thing to predict, but here I go..

  1. Trey Flowers, DE – Signs with Detroit Lions. Both GM Bob Quinn and HC Matt Patricia have deep ties to the Patriots organization, and have past relationships with Flowers. They have nearly $40 million available in cap space, and might go after the game-changing defensive end.
  2. Nick Foles, QB – Signs with Jacksonville Jaguars. This one has already been reported as likely to happen, so not going to give myself credit for predicting this one. It makes sense though as the Jaguars have been lacking at that position for many years now.
  3. Landon Collins, S – Signs with Indianapolis Colts. His tenure with the Giants ended very badly, but he’s still a young, game-changing safety. He would pair nicely across Malik Hooker and the team has a ton of cap room to spend in their chase to win the AFC conference.
  4. Le’Veon Bell, RB – Signs with Oakland Raiders. There’s tons of buzz around this fit, and Jon Gruden has a lot of cap space as he rebuilds the team. Don’t be surprised if Bell lines up alongside his old teammate Antonio Brown in Oakland next year, both on big-time contracts.
  5. Earl Thomas, S – Signs with Dallas Cowboys. There is mutual interest here, but the question is if they’ll pay him the way he wants to be paid. I’m guessing they will meet somewhere in the middle.
