National Signing Day Uncommitted Predictions

(#1) Rashan Gary, DT (Paramus, NJ)

Prediction: Michigan. He’s down to Clemson, his childhood favorite team and Michigan, where his former high school coach Chris Partridge just became special teams coordinator. This will be closer than most think, but I’m leaning Michigan.

(#9) Derrick Brown, DT (Sugar Hill, GA)

Prediction: Georgia. He’s essentially down to Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, and could potentially shock people by choosing Alabama. This has emerged into a bulldog fight between Georgia and Auburn for the country’s top prospect. While Auburn made strides on his official visit, I’d expect him to pick Georgia when push comes to shove.

(#10) Ben Davis, LB (Gordon, AL)

Prediction: Alabama. This has turned into a two-team battle between in-state rivals Alabama and Auburn. I’m going with the former because of his family ties to the school, and they’re widely regarded as the team to beat for his services.

(#11) Mique Juarez, LB (Torrance, CA)

Prediction: UCLA. Since de-committing from USC, the team to beat has been the cross-town Bruins. However, SEC leaders Ole Miss and Alabama have tightened the gap with strong official visits. Another dark horse could be BYU because of religious ties. This one will be close, I’d expect his choice to come down to UCLA and Ole Miss, and I’m putting my money behind Jim Mora & Co. to close the deal with this five-star.

(#13) Mecole Hardman Jr., ATH (Elberton, GA)

Prediction: Georgia. The in-state Bulldogs are the team to beat for this five-star prospect, who is also considering Tennessee and Ohio State.

(#14) Demetris Robertson, ATH (Savannah, GA)

Prediction: Stanford. Robertson recently announced that he isn’t signing tomorrow, which is a strong indicator that he’s going to wait out and see if he’s admitted to Stanford. Assuming he is, he’ll head there. If for some reason he isn’t, I’d expect him to pick Notre Dame over Georgia.

(#15) Mack Wilson, LB (Montgomery, AL)

Prediction: Alabama. The in-state Crimson Tide are far and away the favorites for this five-star prospect. He’s likely to pick them over Georgia and Auburn tomorrow.

(#18) Caleb Kelly, LB (Fresno, CA)

Prediction: Oklahoma. The Sooners have been the team to beat for Kelly for quite some time now, but Notre Dame and especially Oregon have closed the gap over the past month. However, I’d expect him to play his ball in Norman next fall.

(#20) Jeffery Simmons, DE (Macon, MS)

Prediction: Ole Miss. This has been a three-team fight between Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Alabama for the five-star prospect. I’m leaning towards Ole Miss because they had the last official visit, but this could really go any way.

(#23) Kristian Fulton, CB (Metairie, LA)

Prediction: Louisiana State. It’s hard picking against the Tigers for any in-state prospect, especially when their main competition isn’t Alabama. I’m expecting Fulton to sign with LSU tomorrow over Florida.

(#25) Jack Jones, ATH (Long Beach, CA)

Prediction: Southern Cal. USC has been the favorites for this four-star since Clay Helton took over as head coach. Their main competition down the line has been Alabama and Texas A&M, but it’ll be shocking if he ends up anywhere besides L.A. tomorrow.

(#30) Nate Craig-Myers, WR (Tampa, FL)

Prediction: Auburn. Craig-Myers told the press recently that a conversation with Coach Fedora has made this a 50-50 battle between Auburn and UNC. However, I’ll be mildly surprised if he doesn’t choose to re-commit and sign with Auburn tomorrow.

(#35) Tyrie Cleveland, WR (Houston, TX)

Prediction: Texas Christian(+). The current Houston commit is widely expected to flip tomorrow on signing day. He’s taken officials to Florida, Arkansas, and TCU over the past month. This is really a toss-up, but I’m leaning towards TCU as the favorites for his signature tomorrow.

(#37) A.J. Brown, WR (Starkville, MS)

Prediction: Mississippi State. The two in-state rivals Ole Miss and Mississippi States have emerged as the favorites for this four-star prospect, and I’m leaning towards the latter to land his signature because it’s the hometown team.

(#41) Brandon Jones, S (Nacogdoches, TX)

Prediction: Texas. Two days ago, Jones narrowed his search down to the in-state Baylor, Texas, and Texas A&M as his three finalists. This one’s close. A&M was the longtime favorite until Texas gained some momentum on his official visit there. However, Baylor’s reportedly closed the gap on his last official there. He could land at any of the three schools, but I’m betting on Texas landing the four-star safety and making a few other splashes tomorrow.

(#45) Landon Dickerson, OT (Hudson, NC)

Prediction: Florida State. Dickerson has kept his search very close to the vest, but Florida State has been the perceived favorites for quite some time now. I’d be surprised if he decided anywhere tomorrow.

(#48) Devin Asiasi, TE (Concord, CA)

Prediction: UCLA. This is another dogfight between several teams. UCLA and Michigan has emerged as the leaders over USC, Alabama, and Washington, but all five are really in contention. I’m picking UCLA as the slight leader, as they gained some momentum when Coach Tui left USC for the cross-town rivals in Westwood.

(#50) Deontay Anderson, S (Manvel, TX)

Prediction: Ole Miss. Anderson has narrowed his search down to LSU, Texas, and Ole Miss. However, Ole Miss has long been perceived as the favorite for this Texas safety. I’m expecting him to sign with the Rebels tomorrow.

(#51) Patrick Hudson, OG (Silsbee, TX)

Prediction: Texas(+). Hudson is a soft Baylor commit, but he’s strongly been considering Texas over the past few weeks. I’m expecting him to flip to the Longhorns on signing day after several visits to the campus and in-house visits with the coaching staff.

(#55) Trayvon Mullen, CB (Coconut Creek, FL)

Prediction: Louisiana State. The Tigers have really done a phenomenal job recruiting this Florida cornerback, and I’m expecting them to land him over Florida State tomorrow.

(#58) Jeffrey McCulloch, LB (Houston, TX)

Prediction: Texas. Although McCulloch seemed to greatly enjoy his visit to Texas A&M, it would be very surprising if he didn’t pick Texas tomorrow.

(#59) Brian Burns, DE (Plantation, FL)

Prediction: Florida State. This has been a tug-of-war between Florida and Florida State. He could land with either, but I’m betting on the latter. Jimbo and his staff have gained tons of momentum over the past two weeks.

(#63) Shyheim Carter, CB (Kentwood, LA)

Prediction: Alabama. He’s taken officials to Ole Miss, Miami, and Alabama over the past three weekends. With that said, the Tide are the certain favorites for the Louisiana product. It would be surprising if he doesn’t sign there tomorrow.

(#65) Nigel Warrior, S (Suwanee, GA)

Prediction: Tennessee. This is a very close fight between Georgia and Tennessee for the talented safety. I’m going with the Vols for this one, as there are family connections to the school and he’s very familiar with the campus.

(#66) Shavar Manuel, DT (Tampa, FL)

Prediction: Florida State(+). The Florida verbal has admitted that the Noles have pushed hard recently, and he’s heavily suggested he’ll flip tomorrow on signing day. I’m going with Jimbo & Co. on this one.

(#79) Terrell Hall, DE (Washington D.C.)

Prediction: Alabama. Hall tweeted that his final four finalists are Alabama, Maryland, Florida State, and Ole Miss. I’m going with Alabama on this one, as he’s strong fit for thei defensive scheme. The main wildcard in his recruitment is Maryland (if he wants to stay near home), but they’ve lost tons of momentum with the de-commitment of Dwayne Haskins and Keandre Jones.

(#85) Boss Tagaloa, DT (Concord, CA)

Prediction: UCLA. The usual suspects are in for this Concord-based defensive tackle. UCLA. Michigan. USC. Washington. The Bruins should win this battle, they’ve been the team to beat for some time now.

(#89) Michail Carter, DT (Jackson, GA)

Prediction: Georgia. The Bulldogs really have everything he wants. They’re SEC and the in-state team. He’s likely to pick them over Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and Clemson tomorrow on signing day.

(#91) E.J. Price, OT (Lawrenceville, GA)

Prediction: Georgia. It’ll be very surprising if Price doesn’t re-commit and sign with the Bulldogs tomorrow on signing day.
